Oxendine – New York Liberal?

Oxendine2How would you like to have a guaranteed job and even an annual cost of living increase – all this personally promised by a candidate for GA Governor? You can if you’re a school teacher. Just give Oxendine your vote. He’ll make sure you get your payback after he’s elected. John Oxendine, Republican candidate for GA Governor, made that generous offer to school teachers in a recent email missive. The promise was so familiar to me that I felt like I was magically transported back to my home state, the People’s Republic of New York. In fact, Ox sounds much more like a New York Democrat than a Republican.

Promises to enrichen government employees with your tax money are common among career politicians. Nowhere is this more evident than in New York (where I’m from) or California. Every politician on Long Island is in the teacher’s unions pockets. Either you promise to continue the cost of living increase and benefits gravy train – or you don’t get elected. That’s why property taxes on Long Island are typically $10,000 per year. That’s right. $200 a week just for the privilege of owning a home on Long Island. And property taxes are double and triple that in the ‘better’ neighborhoods

Long Islanders of course love to brag how great their school district is. Meanwhile, their children can’t read, spell, or do any math beyond adding and subtracting. And as for knowledge of history, current events, or the Founding Fathers of this great nation – well as they say in New York – forget about it. When you’re paying $200 per week to live on a tiny piece of land in a crowded suburb I guess all you can say is – ‘Our school district is the best… ” And you’d think they would learn. But they haven’t. So taxes go up every year and nobody says a word. They just move away – in droves. That’s why New York state is in dire financial shape. So let’s elect the same kind of people here – right?

Oxendine is a career politician who could run for Governor in New York with his sound bite platitudes. And he’s expertly doing what all career politicians do. Using the power of government to take from one person and give to another, he’s making promises to voter’s blocks like the teacher’s union that if he’s elected, he will guarantee jobs and regular salary increases. How many of us would love to have that cushy arrangement?  Wouldn’t it be a great stress reliever to have a great big sugar daddy in government to remove all our job stresses?

It’s incredible that Oxendine would have the gall to run as a Republican. But he has demonstrated that the days of knowing what a Republican or Democrat stands for are long gone. And he has proven that you must scrutinize the words and actions of each candidate and forget about labels. Candidates that promise to hand over your hard earned wages to another group of people so they can get elected, deserve to be defeated – Republican or Democrat.

That’s why I have supported Ray McBerry from the beginning. McBerry’s promises  are completely different from the career politicians running for Governor. He actually will work to eliminate state income taxes and property taxes and replace them with a fair sales tax. This benefits everyone in Georgia that works for a living and doesn’t depend on the government for hand-outs. This policy creates a strong environment for business growth that leads to good paying jobs for those who wish to work. And more importantly, it puts real dollars back into the pockets of every Georgian – not the privileged few that politicians love to appeal to.

But there’s more to McBerry than lowering taxes. He stands on a firm foundation of liberty and freedom that is refreshing in a time where every politician seems bent on eliminating our rights and taking our money. Taxation is a government form of tyranny. They take – you give. If you don’t give, the government enforcement agents take you away.

That wasn’t the vision of the Founding Fathers of America. Limited self government and personal responsibility were the foundations of our exceptional success as a nation. Career politicians concerned only with making themselves richer and more powerful have corrupted this once great country and left us in the crisis we’re in today.

Ray McBerry,  Constitutionalist, Christian, Statesman, Father, and local businessman, promises to do his part as Governor to create more jobs, lower each Georgian’s cost of living, and restore liberty and freedom for all. And he’s the only one making those promises. That makes it very easy to choose your next Governor for the sovereign state of Georgia.

If you like big government, regular tax hikes, and more restrictions on your life, just pick any of the brand ‘X’ candidates running for Governor. If you are passionate about liberty, freedom, opportunity, and the right to own your property without having to rent it from the government, then vote for Ray McBerry.

Obama’s End-Run Around Government Health Care Opponents

Hammer and sickleIt’s starting to look like ObamaCare may not happen. The people have risen up and demanded that their elected officials put a stop to government health care. Some in the media have suggested that it’s all but over. Not so fast.

The socialists in control of the US government didn’t come all this way to give up at the brink of victory. They have been diligently working their plan for over a century and they can taste victory. Government take over of the nation’s health care system is crucial to their plans.

That’s why we will have a government take over of the nation’s health care system whether you like it or not. In fact, we have been incrementally moving into a government type system for decades. Much of it is due to the growing number of federal and state regulations on the industry. This has the effect of creating a government system by proxy through the private sector. Look at your own health care program if you have one. Aren’t you waiting longer for care? Isn’t it taking more time to get an appointment to see a ‘specialist’? Isn’t your doctor now called a ‘primary care provider’? Don’t the doctor’s offices look more like government clinics everyday?

And your level of care. Your health care decisions are already being made by groups of people – people that may see your treatment needs differently than you do. Treatment today often means shuttling from one clinic to another for visits with faceless medical staffers who look tired, overworked, and apathetic. Visits with the doctor are hurried – they just don’t have time to spend with you anymore.

But one thing is certain. The current medical system is paying for itself. Those who are paying into the system are keeping it solvent. You can’t say that for government administered programs like Medicaid and Medicare, or Social Security. They are all threatening to bankrupt the US. So let’s give health care to the government too. At an added cost of a trillion more dollars that the government will be forced to print, tax, or borrow from the Chinese.

Generations of Americans have been patiently indoctrinated into socialism in the government schools. They have no clue what is taking place today in the US. It wasn’t always like this. There was a time when the average American believed in limited self-government, responsibility, liberty, and independence. Today, it’s just the opposite. Our carefully nurtured government schooled socialists truly believe that the government is the solution to all problems. They have been brainwashed to believe that you should hand over a greater and greater share of your earnings to the government. Why? Because they know better than you do how to spend it. For the good of society, of course.

Liberty is a vague concept today, one that seems to mean freedom to pierce your tongue and attend a socialist inspired ‘global warming’ rally. Liberty used to mean freedom to live your life without molestation by an intrusive and overbearing federal government. Today freedom is defined by the government permitting you to live on a piece of property as long as you pay them for it – every day you’re there.

With this massive government inspired shift in the thinking of the American people, it’s likely that the US will have a full blown government health care system within the next decade if not sooner. And since most people are content to spend their free time vegetating in front of ‘American Idol’ or some other inane tv show, the socialists have free rein to create the utopia they so desperately want.

After Congress and the Senate pretends to kill ObamaCare, one or more of these scenarios are likely to occur. Scenario one; the government plan is re-submitted in a scaled back version so everyone can slap each other’s backs and congratulate themselves on non-partisanship. Or the bill is tabled for a time and reintroduced again later after the government has had time to create a few health crisis’s followed by additional regulations. One template in use for decades is to use the unconstitutional agencies we’ve permitted the federal government to create. They can write up their own health care plan and shove it past clueless legislators without raising a peep from the press.

Voddie Baucham (www.voddiebaucham.org) has it right when he says, “If you’re really against government-run, socialized programs, yank your kid off the yellow prison bus and just say no.” In other words, if we continue to place our children in the government indoctrination centers, a/k/a the ‘public school system’, we must expect them to be 100% behind socialism and all its trappings. As long as we have a socialist school system, we are inevitably headed for an end to the American experiment in liberty and self-government. Government run health care is just one of the many plans the socialist slave masters have for us.

Rep Joe Wilson is right – Obama lied

How do you silence a room full of big mouth Congresspersons? Tell the truth.

And that’s just what happened Wednesday evening when Rep Joe Wilson did what we’ve all wanted to do for months – shout in Mr. Obama’s face – “You Lie!” Look around for minute. How many people do you know who would beg for the opportunity to tell the President to his face – You Lie!

Let’s start with the Obama claim that precipitated Rep. Joe Wilson’s outburst – “we will not be insuring illegal immigrants.” Liberty Counsel, a nationwide public interest religious civil liberties law firm, went through the 1200+ page bill and thoughtfully provided the American people an analysis – because it was too much work for members of Congress to read it themselves. Get your own copy here: http://www.lc.org.

According to the Liberty Counsel lawyers, Sec. 152, Pg. 50-51 – specifies that health care will be provided to all non-US citizens. Here’s what it says; (a) IN GENERAL.—Except as otherwise explicitly permitted by this Act and by subsequent regulations consistent with this Act, all health care and related services (including insurance coverage and public health activities) covered by this Act shall be provided without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high quality health care or related services.

Behind the obtuse language adopted by politicians for the express purpose of hiding their true intentions; we can easily see how this law will be interpreted to provide health care to all – including non-resident aliens, illegal or not. How will the government accomplish this when their plan is to issue a national ID card? Simple – they’ll just amnesty illegal aliens and give them all cards. It’s semantic but adds up to the same outcome.

Here’s another example. Sec. 59B, Pg. 167-168, says; “In the case of any individual who does not meet the requirements of subsection (d) at any time during the taxable year, there is hereby imposed a tax equal to 2.5 percent of the excess of ‘‘(1) the taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income for the taxable year, over ‘‘(2) the amount of gross income specified in section 6012(a)(1) with respect to the taxpayer. (All income information will be helpfully provided by the IRS) In other words, Americans will be forced to show proof of medical insurance or pay a big tax.

And …

On pg 170; the bill says: ‘‘(2) NONRESIDENT ALIENS.—Subsection (a) shall not apply to any individual who is a nonresident alien.” In other words, by combining both parts of Sec 152 and Sec 59B, you see that nonresident aliens get medical coverage while they’re here and they’re not subject to any taxes for it.

Rep. Joe Wilson reflected the frustration of the American people when in exasperation, he called Mr. Obama a liar. After listening to an endless litany of contradictions to the government’s own health care bill from government staffers and the President, people are undoubtedly beyond suspicious. Many citizens are ready to implement Change That We Need in Congress and the Senate. And later – the Presidency.

There are a whole host of additional lies about government health care that are being revealed daily by credible investigators outside the mouthpiece, state-run media. Stay tuned. The outrage over government hijacking of the health care industry is just beginning. Wait till they try to sneak it through behind your back.
